I assist in establishing a bilateral relationship between the private sectors of Iraq and the rest of the world through educational and economic programs, so that trade is facilitated and expanded. I has developed and implemented training and workshops in cooperation with Romanian government agencies and private sector foundations and organizations on topics such as International Trade, Small Business Development, Public Policy Advocacy, Government and Public Relations, Leadership Development, Business Ethics, Corporate Governance, and Business English as a Second Language.

I had a strong cooperative relationship with many Iraqi Ministries. Additionally, I has established   cooperation with all professional trade and industrial unions, including the Engineering Union, Construction Union, Doctors’ Union, Accounting Union, and Iraqi Bar Association.

I conducts regular seminars and conferences, bringing the business community into a dialogue with government ministers on topics of great general interest such as the new Iraqi Foreign Investment Law, privatization. I help providing with new facilities that will distinguish them from the other businessmen in Iraq like the Buying Power Department, Leading Generation Department beside these two depts.

Achievements I doubled the initial number of suppliers; I started several projects and partnerships with the existing ones; I maintained contact with 346 sales representatives of about 29 different suppliers of trucks, semi-trailers, tractors, buses and construction equipment (115 in the construction business, 180 in the commercial sector, 13 in public transportation, 38 suppliers of semi-trailers);I received requests for more than 100 million EUR, in over 2.000 files, out of which 735 were concluded in contracts; All these contracts were based on my studies on the market, transport & construction sector, and clients with a good background in paying their loans.I had NO DEFAULT CASES, in more than 1.000 contracts started.

I exceeded the annual plan by 145% with: medium down-payment: 26%, interest rate: 8%, tax: 1,5% and less flexible conditions according to ALB (Association Financial Companies Association in Romania) 2006 report.

My results represented 10% out of all VOLKSBANK LEASING’s contracts and interest, 32% in the same fields: transport and construction.

–          1st place in Romania as dealer Skoda (our competitor in Bucharest was still 5th)

–          8,8% – my team’s market share out of the total sales of Skoda in Romania (our competitor’s in Bucharest was 5,6%); our market share in Bucharest increased by 3% compared to year 2001 (from 21% to 24%)

–          The sales in Bucharest were 30% higher compared to year 2001.

–          8% of the contracts signed by VOLKSBANK LEASING

–          My most important personal contribution: I found different solutions for about 75 clients whose leasing files had been rejected. This meant 18,6% of AVIA’s sales about 52,000 EUR.
